Facebook connects grandkids to grandparents through Presto DailySmile

 

Presto DailySmile Facebook to Presto auto photo delivery service 

Presto subscribers have asked if we could develop a way to more easily get photos to their Presto Printing Mailbox users. That easier way is now here -- announcing a new free service: Presto DailySmile™ which lets you deliver a photo-a-day from Facebook or your computer to a Printing Mailbox. 

If you are a Facebook user, you just tag photos from your albums or those you have access to, and they will automatically be added to a DailySmile "Photo Queue." Photos from that queue are then automatically delivered to your Presto user one per day.

For people who don't use Facebook, just upload photos from your computer at the Presto DailySmile website ( http://www.PrestoDailySmile.com ) and they likewise will be delivered one per day.

Facebook users who use Facebook Mobile will be able to add photos to their queue from their cell phones. And, you can even subscribe to certain albums which will post any added photos directly to the DailySmile Photo Queue. 

It's tremendously easy to set up a week's, month's, or year's worth of photos and once you set it, you can almost forget it (because you get daily delivery confirmation emails and an “out of photos” alert email). 

Since many people under a certain age primarily use Facebook to stay in touch with friends and family, Presto DailySmile can go along way in connecting grandkids and their grandparents. And it's free!

We subscribed to "Daily Smile" and found that we can add photos to our que from our computer, but when we click on "upload photos" absolutely nothing happens. Can anyone help? ....Thanks!

I have been enjoying the Presto Daily Smile feature but can't seem to be able to add any of the many pictures from my I-Phone. Is it possible to do this and if so, how?

My mother has a Presto Mailbox that she is thrilled with. I just signed up for the Daily Smile. So, when these pictures print out, they print out on regular computer paper. Is it possible to loan the mailbox with photo paper does anyone know?

The Presto Printing Mailbox is not configured for photo paper. However, high quality plain paper does improve the printout image. We recommend HP Bright White Inkjet Paper which is available from Presto.com or any office supply store.

If you want to send photos from your iPhone directly to your DailySmile Photo Queue you need to do the following: 1) sign up for Facebook Mobile on Facebook. That connects your phone to your Facebook account. 2) Then when you take photos with your iPhone, they will be placed into a Facebook album. You can then select photos to add to your DailySmile Photo Queue, or place them in a folder that you designate for your DailySmile recipient.

This is a fantastic service. My grandmother will absolutely love it. Is there any chance you'd consider allowing us to use tags to stream our photos from Flickr as well as from Facebook?

I was happy to hear about the new PrestoDailySmile feature for PRESTO to send more photos to my grandmother. The problem is that I would like to CC myself, and my aunt and Mother on the emails sent from PrestoDailySmile and can't find a way to do this.  
 
I do this every time I send a Presto message so that more family members can enjoy the grandkids as well.  
 
Is this feature available on PrestoDailySmile? If not, when will it be??? This feature would be VITAL to using PrestoDailySmile.  
 
You should also be able to receive a COPY of the message and notification that it was sent -- just the way you get a Presto notification when a message has gone thru.  
 
If you can't then you should be able to CC yourself to view and know WHICH PHOTO was sent WHAT DAY so you can talk with the person you're sending it to -- about the photo!! 
 
Please advise asap as I'd like to begin using the service. Thank you.

To J. Powers: No plans for Flickr at this time, sorry. 
 
To Elizabeth: Currently, there is no ability to "CC:" yourself or your aunt and Mother on DailySmile photos. However, this feature is planned and should become available sometime in Q1 2011 along with more features as well. As far as delivery confirmation emails that are just like Presto Mail, DailySmile has exactly the same feature. So after every DailySmile is delivered, the sender receives a delivery confirmation email with a link to see exactly what was printed. This will tell you what photo was send which day, AND will alert you as to how many photos are left in the queue, and when the queue runs "dry."
